With all the time spent on making eyelashes look longer, thicker, and darker using eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, fake eyelashes, and so on, it seems nice that there is a way to actually grow them. To that end, a company called Allergan decided to get FDA approval for a medication (bimatoprost, which they coined “Latisse”) that has been used in ophthalmology for the last 15 years. In clinical trials it grew, without exception, the eyelashes of every person that used it.
We offer it because it is a prescription medication and it is important to have at least one visit with your eye doctor after starting it. We write the prescription and provide it at a discount through our office, rather than through the pharmacy. Dr. Hunter sees you for an 8-week check where he will evaluate you for any allergies or adverse reaction, as well as go over a set of personalized “before and after” photos so that you can see the change in your lashes.
